SURFACE
TENSION TEST FLUIDS
|
Surface
tension test fluids are introduced by IEEC to give an accurate
measurement of graduated surface tension levels. Different fluid samples,
denoted to indicate corresponding dyne values are applied to surface of the
corona treated substrate. Spread of the test fluid on the test specimen from
the continuous film of the fluid to break into droplets is the quantitative
measure of surface tension. Surface tension Test fluids sets are available to
cover the complete range from 38 to 60 dynes/cm |

DYNE
TEST MARKER PENS
|
IEEC’s
Dyne Test Marker Pens are the latest in Surface Energy Measurement and are
used extensively worldwide. Directions for use: ·
Select Marker pen with dyne level less than dyne
level of substrate’s dyne level ·
Hold the marker pen tip firmly on substrate to be
tested until the tip is saturated with solution. ·
With soft touch, draw the marker pen across the
test sample in two or three passes. Last pass only should be evaluated. ·
If ink remains wetted out on test samples surface
for more than two seconds, repeat this procedure with next higher dyne level
marker pen. If drops are formed or tears apart or shrinks into thin line in
two seconds or less, repeat the procedure with the next lower marker pen. ·
The test sample dyne level is the dyne level,
which will produce an ink swath that will hold for one to three seconds
before de-wetting. |
