IEEC-PINNING UNIT - CE Marking

IEEC has developed and established High Voltage / High Frequency / Low Ripple (±0.05% RMS) PINNING UNITS with less than two (2) millisecs recovery time for superior finish of POLYESTER FILM. IEEC has developed following additional systems to enhance the pinning operation.

Test Specification Standard

  1) PINNING WIRE “ HEATING ”

During polyester extrusion process Oligomers gets accumulated on pinning wire and pinning quality deteriorates. To avoid plant stoppage, the Oligomers needs to be melted by heating the wire by passing constant current. IEEC has developed an additional attachment namely the Wire Heating system

2) PINNING WIRE “ TRANSPORT ” (Under Development)

It is also observed that the pinning wire requires replacement after continuous use of about 8 hours. However to avoid plant stoppage the wire is slowly and smoothly released from one end and wound on the other end. The rate of release is so adjusted that the movement from one end to other takes about 8 hours. This avoids stoppage of the plant. IEEC is developing an additional wire transport system with necessary high voltage isolation.

  3) PINNING WIRE  “ POSITIONING ”    (Under Development)

While starting the polyester plant the pinning wire has to be shifted away from the chill roll so that T die is positioned properly. Once the T die is correctly adjusted the pinning wire is brought in its location. For proper electrostatic pinning effect, the pinning wire has to be positioned in close proximity, about 3 to 4 mm away from the chill roll. The position of the wire is very critical and there is no easy measurement system possible as the wire itself is at very high voltage. IEEC is developing – Three Axis Digital Readout System comprising of the horizontal & vertical distance measuring system and rotary angle measuring system.
