Soft Start is an absolute necessicity for Hot Runner applications. This feature protects the heater from getting 'burnt out' due to the shorts created by induced moisture because of the condensation of moisture molecules present in the air.
Secondly, the controller applies voltage with slow ramp to 25% of its full range. This 25% voltage remains for 15 minutes or till temperature crosses 100șC. Once this is achieved, the controller starts giving actual voltage to maintain the set temperature value. when operating without Temperature Sensor.
