Coiler Winder Drives
Materials such as plastic film, manufactured in the form of lay flat tubing by a blown film extrusion process or in the form of continuous sheet by a calendar machine, woven fabrics, plastic laminated paper, glacin paper, celophane, metallised film, aluminium foil etc. are
wound in the roll form for storage and transportation. Flexible pipes, cables and steel are also produced as a continuous product and also wound in the form of roll as explained above.
The speed at which the material is wound on the core is constant and determined by the manufacturing process and thus the speed of core over which the material is wound must be reduced to compensate for the increasing built up.
